Next Online Assignments: Community Guest Visits and Mid-Year Evaluations

Here’s the next online assignment as you kick off Unit 3.  Can you believe you’re already halfway through the year?  Please aim for completion by Monday February 6th at 10pm.  As usual, please consider marking this down in your calendars, digital or otherwise.

Community Guest Visits and Reflection.  Spend 2-3 paragraphs describing your recent classroom visits from our key partner (or other) community-based organizations.  Start a new post titled:  ___Your Name___ : Classroom Visit Reflections.  You might reference recent visits by ACE-REEP, Dorchester Youth Force or HSTF.

Respond to the following prompts as a guide:  Describe the experience of having these community-based partners come into your classes.  How did you prepare your students for the visits?  How did they respond to them?  How might visits like these be improved?  What other organizations or individuals do you think would be helpful to bring to your classrooms?
