Arrival in Bangkok, Thailand

You know when you’ve crossed national borders when you open up Google and you see this.  How’s that for a truly international presence?

A low key travel day today going from Cambodia to Thailand, mostly eased by the pickup of good friend S. here in Bangkok with whom I shared an apartment at graduate school. So good to see him and to catch up– plans to head out of the city (which I will see on return), and visit one of the famous beaches on the southern shore tomorrow.  A nice change of  pace to be in the company of a good friend in travel!
