Slow weekends are good when..

A couple of ellipse finishing sentences for a good early fall weekend:

Slow weekends are good when..

.. you make it out on a bike ride in good company of new friend Q. and you come across an unexpected traveling Vietnam Memorial exhibit with fluttering flags at your ride-end destination. And you end with a Roslindale Village Sushi lunchbox (always worth getting) in the sunny courtyard out back.

..you can spend an hour or two wandering between two adjoining strip malls in good company of S, trying to return a slightly used glove at Dick’s Sporting Goods, looking through piles of used DVDs at a Moviestop and getting a couple of Five Guys burgers and fries to go.

..you’re reminded at a morning church meeting to hold tight to what matters, even when it’s hard, especially when it’s hard.

..you get that perfect Sunday afternoon doze.

..you decide the weather’s too good to resist, and you head out on a late Sunday afternoon to unroll the hose in the yard, move the car within spray distance, and wash and wax until your arms are tired. A kind of rite of homeownership or something that puts you out in the neighborhood to see and greet the dogwalkers, couples with kids and to even walk over to quell the shouting match between some kids at the local playground.
