With the official arrival of the fall season, it’s that much better to be gathering in friend’s homes for individually cooked and collectively shared meals– even if the theme of the bi-monthly dinner plans over the next few months are, sigh, vegan-themed. C, this is all about you and your threatening manner… heh.
Still, S. and I somehow got FOUR votes for the best dish of the night, a chop-preparation heavy Veracruz potato salad that actually turned out pretty well. (I have to say that it probably had much to do–no, not with adding bacon bits or anything, you doubters!–with generously salting the water for boiling the potatoes, a healthy helping of added avocados and the presentation in a red-dyed bamboo serving bowl).
Finishing up with a very non-vegan malted vanilla ice cream from Christina’s on the way back home wasn’t so bad either, by the way.

I make no apologies for being threatening. As someone noted last night, “Fear is a great motivator.” That potato salad was great, but Tina and I will not be beaten again.
Bring. It. On.
