Video roundup: A local H-Mart, Michelle Rhee on Teachers Unions and Leadership
Ok, so I’m a bit enamored with embedding video these days… maybe it comes from the magic of seeing all that code transform into the shining pixels and audio bits of coherence. Kind of feels like a little miracle.
Alright! HERE comes an Asian grocery that’s worth talking about… none of that Super 88 sadness. It’s all about having access to the good Korean grocery store. Though I’m a little confused about the music choice, and the wall of spam closeup. What gives?
And here are some short clips of an interview with Michelle Rhee, Chancellor of the D.C. public schools. Makes me think of the experience of friend G. who currently works as a teacher in the city’s system, and his own thoughts of what’s working (or not) in that whole mix. He had more than a few stories to tell when we were on the NBPTS history/social studies committee. The second clip brings up considerations of what type of voice or communicated urgency or bluntness from leadership works (or doesn’t) in the world of public education reform.
