House Cleaning on a Sunday Afternoon

Is there anyone out there who actually likes dusting? I tell you–I’ll do a vacuum run, wash used dishes as soon as a meal is over and even scrub down the toilet, but it takes a rarer burst of energy to pick up the dust rag.

Maybe because it forces you to re-find all those flat surfaces in your place, usually comfortably covered with books and bowls, a set of keys perhaps, and electronics–the used stuff of daily life. And you have to revisit those flat spaces that you usually don’t frequent up close–tv hutches and bookshelves and mirrors and other areas that are usually perfectly happy to be left alone or appreciated at distance.

Still, on overcast Sunday afternoons in mid-November, it’s nice sometimes to do a real clean. And it feels good.

Ohhhh, dust is something i hate most of all. The fact is i have an allergy on dust, so i do it quite rarely or ask my husband. But if he is busy the only way is to hire house cleaning company.
