Results Show for Vegan Iron Chef Competition

When the spread between you and the winner is nearly 50% of your total accumulated point value, you know you’ve been beat.

So S. and I, despite what I’d like to call a heroic last meal attempt with the preparation of a variety of the vegan spring roll recipe (c’mon, I even put enoki mushrooms in these guys!), fell well short. Still, a really nice evening among friends and a lot of vegan dishes. Good thing we brought in some tupperware to carry home some leftovers.

A learned lesson? Sure, I guess I can admit that vegan dishes aren’t half bad in a lot of cases. But the ringing one seems most pertinent, especially in consideration of our poor showing–bring on the meat, people.

Ours looked WAY better than this, people...

Who knew vegan food DOESN'T need to look like this??
