I really enjoyed getting the copy of the math warm up exercises bright and early this morning, as I sat in on a middle school math lesson. The students were chatting among themselves, and then quieted rather nicely as the sheets were passed to them as well. PEMDAS exercises, estimation of square roots and the like. The students were bravely soldiering through, bolstered by the steady encouragement of the teacher making the check-in rounds.
And the best part?
The bold notice emblazoned across the bottom of each of our sheets, reverse printed so the letters were cut out facsimiles framed within the dark black stripe (type is potent that way, yes?)

The lengths one is willing to go–the laws broached!–to educate our young people, no? It’s enough to get you all teary-eyed..
