Two and a half years into that initial thought–You know, the first big home project is going to be about re-doing that bedroom closet--I’ve finally, with some gentle and patient prodding, gone the way of Elfa from The Container Store. So now, there’s a pile of materials in my place that will somehow transform into a working closet (and some layered shelving in another room). Believe it people. It may be slow, but it be happening.
The most fun moment today? Waiting outside this afternoon as a pleasant Container Store employee loaded up my car with cuts of shelving and brackets and metal pieces and the like. Starting to fill the front passenger’s side seat with the stuff.
It looks like your wife will have to wait around here until you make a run home, she remarks as she stacks and rearranges the increasingly heavy piles of shelving in the car. Huh? What? A shared look, a goofy grin and the novelty of it named.
