What better reason to get the place a bit more put together than anticipation of a visit from family? Great to have mom, along with sister J and her family, up for a visit over these past few days. Escaping their Philadelphia area heatwaves of 1oo degree plus weather to the slightly cooler New England weather. Slightly. Crank (and be thankful) for that air conditioning, right?
And for the chance to get oceanside. A day trip out to Martha’s Vineyard and all the good things there–a first boat ride for niece A and nephew I, seafood at water’s edge in Oak Bluffs, Del’s lemonade and swimming and dipping in the ocean. Finishing it off with a few t-shirts from that iconic black dog store, fresh fudge and Thai for dinner. Enough to make you sleep deeply into the night– even the happily displaced stretching out (with feet hanging over) the living room couch.
