Japanese public restrooms are superior to ours here in the states. Classical music is piped into the stalls; the lids automatically open when you enter, and the seats are heated and include bidets. In homes and hotels, there's a separate set of house slippers to be explicitly worn in the bathroom. The Japanese take their business very seriously. Yes! I guess it's a small 'paint' world-- we found out the other day that Joanne Rossman (from Roslindale Square) painted her bathroom the same color we have in our living room.
